Social Enterprise experience in Leicester, UK

It was about few weeks after attending  Workshop on Social Enterprise .I  was a little occupied in my course works and activities related to United Nations, yet was thinking about social Enterprise project in a corner of mind.

In some time around the second week of  march I was attending the a Model United Nations conference in London ,E mail form Jane, my mentor in WISE Project for inviting for a initial meeting  added delight to the achievement of Best Delegate Award at Kingston Model UN .                                                           

After fixing the appointment  I met Jane in CASE-Da Crescent, King Road ,Leicester – Thanks to the  Warm weather which made biking easier, all though finding the place was little exploration.

After a brief description about the project Jane suggested few social Enterprises and finally COG youth Services was chosen after a few mail conversations. It was time to have a direct meeting with the social Entrepreneur and we agreed on time for the meeting with the Director of COG youth Services

Meeting and interview with social Entrepreneur

I was well prepared for the day reviewing few concepts discussed in the preparatory workshop and researching on the social Enterprise (COG YS).

Trisha my Partner in project also joined the meeting – We made a combined interview with Tejas Patel the Director of COG youth Services. We had a lot to learn from his courageous imitative beyond many challenges

The interview lasted for about an hour and a half with the diagnostic tool we had effective interaction and captured the details of  COG YS

 It is now DONE

Followed by the meeting it was now our turn to make a report. Now the challenge was not only in making it but having a clear time management and being well organized as it our exam time and assignment deadlines were just on their way.

Well…. we picked good planning and organizing skill from this. We came with an analysis of  GOG youth Services with our recommendations based on a SWOT analysis.

And there comes and temporary rest on a long journey
